Week 17 & 18

Hello everyone! Namaste from India!

Yes, ToddlerT and I are back home for an extended vacation and loving it.

So, here is a quick update for both the past weeks together.

Among the awesome things:
Back with the family
Warm temperatures. Yayy! No more hiding my clothes under winter gear
Filter coffee!

One thing I’d like to talk about:
Jet lag. It is real and horrid and exhausting. And the only kind and acceptable response is a sympathetic cluck and patient ears. This is not the time to mention how you never suffered from jet lag and are a swinging jet setter and the likes. Trust me.

And with that short note, it is Ta-ta for now from a just recovered jet lag Mommy. Bye and Take care folks!

Weekly Update – 16

List three awesome things that happened this week.

  1. Snow is here. ToddlerT loves it! She is a ‘cold climate loving’ little person like the Hubs.
  2. Started packing for a trip to India. Yayy!! [Besides, I am a temperate climate person.]
  3. I tried pineapple coconut yogurt with granola for the first time in my life. It WAS delicious.

Mention the one event or concept or person I felt strongly about.

In this post, I would like to thank reviewers. You know, the people who leave feedback and reviews of products and services and make purchasing so easy. I got some great advice and tips while making purchases for our toddler’s air travel and it made me so thankful for all the insights listed. It takes only a couple of minutes, true to leave feedback on products and services and maybe a minute more to add useful tips; but I personally know only few people who do that. In fact, I am sorry to note that I am myself not included in this list either. But no more. I shall certainly leave my honest feedback on many, if not all, purchases from today. SO, if you are someone who leaves feedback and wonders if anybody even reads it or if it matters at all, let me assure you- it does. And, if you perhaps do not or have never had a chance up till now; join me. Let’s start.

Have a great week and stay warm. Ta-ta!

Weekly Update -15

List three awesome things that happened this week.

  1. Watched a whole movie with Hubs at a stretch while the little one was asleep. This is our first movie after almost two years that we viewed from start to finish in one go. (Note: Indian movies are three hours long, so we usually watch in chunks so as to not disturb our li’l gal)
  2. We had some friends over, so it was a splendid start to the year (especially after all the tragic news of the past year)
  3. One of my cousin sister is expecting a little one ; so again we are super excited!

Mention the one event or concept or person I felt strongly about.

Resolutions. It is my personal experience that resolutions are great because they help pin point things we want out of life. New Year resolutions help take that first step, the initial, excruciatingly difficult baby step to achieving our desires and dreams and ambitions. So, go ahead and make a resolution folks. even if it does not work out, you’re that much closer to getting what you want.

with that my resolution for the year- structured, disciplined use of social media. Details on how I am going to accomplish it, are still in testing phase, but I am getting there. I am doing it, so I have time for all my varied interests without feeling twinges of guilt that I am lapsing in any departments- as a mom, a woman, a programmer, friend. Wish me luck, friends!

Happy New Year! Wishing everyone great joy and immense success.
